President Reiterates Iran’s Policy of Enhancing Muslim Unity
Speaking in a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Adul Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday, Raeisi added that in line with this policy, Iran has always stressed that restoring the rights of the Palestinian people is the number one issue in the Muslim world.
He voiced Tehran’s readiness to use all capacities to stop the Zionist regime’s genocidal war on Gaza and to send humanitarian aid to the oppressed Palestinian people.
He added that Iran expect Egypt to also use its capacities in this regard.
Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s belief that the Zionist regime is a cancerous tumor and a serious threat to peace and security in the region has been proven to all, he said.
The Iranian president also slammed the US for hypocritically calling for everyone to exercise self-restraint, saying Washington is the main supporter of the Zionist regime in its crimes and cannot pretend to be after peace in the Gaza Strip.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Raeisi referred to the ancient civilizations and ideological commonalities between Iran and Egypt, saying they provide good grounds for developing and deepening the ties between the two countries.

Sisi, for his part, appreciated Iran’s efforts to enhance ties with neighboring and regional countries and voice Egypt’s readiness to take steps toward resolution of problems between the two countries.
He also stressed Cairo’s efforts to stop the Israeli war on Gaza, sending humanitarian aid to the enclave and restoring the rights of the people of Palestine.
He appreciated Iran’s support for Gaza and said Egypt believes the Islamic Republic plays an effective role in maintaining of stability in the region.
